"Low Horizons"-On the Road- St. Ives...

Our Early Summer sojourn  'In Search of Alfred Wallis" was another lovely experience in Cornwall. The light , the sea, the air. The colours and the wonderful landscape. So easy to understand why the St. Ives artists old and new are so inspired. Hepworth's sculptures, Leach's ceramics , Lanyon, Nicholson Heron.

Discovering Alfred Wallis's cottage and wondering at the influence of these artists in their prime miles from London or New York and Paris. Wandering on the hills near "Eagles Nest". Meandering around Zennor Head. Revelling in the beauty of the Atlantic swell and wishing I could surf. Mostly though- being inspired to be bold and fearless when approaching an empty canvas with an idea.

Having a refurb in the bathroom. This mural based on the 1960's boutique "Granny  Takes a Trip" will have to go. Still its been a long strange trip...
